Case Study
Mixed Reality
Task Management App Ideation
Preliminary Design
Research into Asana
To make Asana a Mixed Reality app, I audited the current mobile and desktop design to understand the user experience.
Audited user flows for mobile and desktop extension.
Conducted user studies on mobile Asana workflows.
Created sentiment maps to document user journeys.
Project Overview
This project explores the intersection between AR,
task management, spatial navigation, computer vision, and XR affordances.
Accessibility exploration
After building the prototype, I aimed to enhance it with voice activations to help visually impaired users and broaden the overall accessibility of the app.
Designing an inclusive MR experience for blind people using spatial sound, touch, and computer vision.
The Solution
This design exploration highlighted how building for sound-ON for visually impaired MR users, universally benefits the average MR user experience.
Computer vision could be used paired with voice integration and MR captures to create an immersive AI experience.
Use cases include finding objects within your environment, and pinning AI tasks to physical objects and spaces.
This design exploration showcases interaction design though clarifying user inputs and computer AI outputs.
Demo testing user interface for linking virtual tasks to actual objects and spaces.
I used Adobe XD to make a clickable experience exploring adding objects to spaces and creating routines from IoT objects.
